THIRUPPAVAI consists of thirty stanzas (hymns) in Tamil, each of 8 lines
These thirty hymns(called pasurams) were composed by Saint Sri Andal also known as Nachiar or Kodhai or Goda Devi
Sri Andal or Goda Devi is one of the famous twelve Alvars*. THIRUPPAVAI is part of Divya Prabandha, a work of the twelve Alvars, and is important in Tamil literature.
